Born in Brazil, Luiz has 15 years’ experience in statistics, data analysis and statistical inference applied to financial markets.

He earned his bachelor's degree in computing engineering from the University of São Paulo and is proficient in nine programming languages, with an emphasis on computational mathematics. He previously served as a fund of funds analyst at Itaú and held the role of quant analyst at BRZ Investments, focusing on risk management for arbitrage portfolios consisting of stocks, derivatives, and bonds.
